    The Automated Flood Warning System (AFWS) website is a cooperative effort managed by the IFLOWS Program of the National Weather Service and gives real-time precipitation readings throughout our area. For reference, note the following key storm magnitudes: 2-year, 3.5 inches; 5-year, 4.4 inches, and 10-year, 5.2 inches.

  • The National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP)
    FEMA and the NFIP have provided free online resources to the public through the FloodSmart program. This program can provide valuable information on flood maps, preparing for floods, remediating flood damage, flood insurance, insurance claims, and reducing flood damage costs.
